Each user should know the principle of operation of the equipment that he installs in his home. This ensures correct and safe operation.

The column consists of a metal case and:

  • gas unit;
  • water unit;
  • hoods;
  • radiator (heat exchanger);
  • burners;
  • work control sensors.

The principle of operation of all columns "Electrolux", "Neva", "Beretta" is the same:

  • When turned on, water begins to flow into the system.
  • Under pressure, the diaphragm expands and opens the gas supply valve.
  • The burner ignites and heats up the liquid that circulates through the heat exchanger.
  • Combustion products are discharged through ventilation and chimney.

It is believed that installing gas water heaters in an apartment or house is an unsafe business. This was the case in the days of manual firing models. Today, manufacturers are equipping equipment with sensors that monitor the presence of traction, water heating in order to prevent an emergency. But still, you should not neglect the safety rules.

If you smell gas:

  • Shut off the gas supply immediately.
  • Ventilate the room.
  • Do not connect electrical appliances until the room is completely ventilated.
  • Contact the gas service.

When to turn on the column

It all depends on what type of gas water heater is installed. The instructions for use indicate:

  • Columns with a constantly burning wick - ignition is performed at the beginning of the day. Most consumers light the wick in the morning and leave it on during the day. After firing up, the column is completely ready for use. The first switching on occurs with the opening of the hot water tap.
  • Columns operating in automatic mode (without a wick) - turn on independently after opening the hot water tap. Classic models refuse to work if there is no pressure in the pipeline. In modern water heaters, they turn on at low water pressure (0.3 atm).

Instantaneous gas water heaters, regardless of type, have a common disadvantage: time passes from the moment the hot water tap is opened to the supply of hot water to the user. It takes a few minutes before heating to the set temperature.

If the column does not turn on well, the burner and the wick go out during operation and there is a smell of gas in the area of the piezoelectric element, this indicates a serious breakdown. Turn off the water heater, turn off the gas and call the wizard to eliminate the malfunction.

Malfunctions and repair of the Ariston gas column

_______________________________________________________________________________

Installed geyser Ariston Fast 14 CF (which is battery operated). In general, it picks up normally, then it picks up and goes out after 2-3 s. Moreover, it often appears after a night of inactivity. There was never a hot one. Suspected an ionization sensor. The battery changed does not help, on the contrary, on a new one it goes out even faster. After quite long manipulations (clicking the microswitch back and forth), it lights up and does not go out, enough for several days. What is the reason? Maybe this is some kind of typical electronics malfunction or something else? How does the ionization sensor manifest itself? If it malfunctions, would the burner not ignite at all for a second? Better not to click, but simply replace the microswitch. The fact that he clicks does not mean his normal operation.The algorithm is as follows - spark - igniter - receiving ionization signal - gas supply to the main burner - ignition - constant ionization control. If it does not receive a signal from a lit pilot burner, the main burner will not turn on at all. But it can easily be that the signal comes from the igniter, but not from the main burner. He lights it up, does not see the signal and interrupts the gas supply. It would be good to clean the electrode and its insulator, the signal there is very weak, any leaks through the dirty insulation can spoil this signal. The gas water heater Ariston Fast is in operation. Ignites unstable. It contains the electronic unit PAT118097 129746. On the wiring diagram in the manual there is an inscription RL20-D-AM1. The column worked for 3 years. An erratic start has appeared recently. When hot water is turned on, the electronics unit ignites the wick, it lights up, the flame presence sensor outputs minus 0.5-0.8v to the electronics unit. Then the wick goes out and the spark is restarted by the electronics unit, from 2-3 attempts the column can catch fire. I don’t know why the flame from the wick doesn’t go over to the main burners. Who knows how it should happen - tell me. Now the mode is as follows, when starting the water: 1) There is a spark. 2) The wick lights up. 3) The spark disappears. 4) The wick burns for a few seconds, then goes out. 5) There is a spark again. 6) The wick lights up. 7) The spark disappears. 8) After a few seconds, the main burner comes on. 90 percent is an ionization sensor. Repair of such a breakdown must begin with it. If there is no new one, try to clean it with sandpaper. Clean the burner well with a brush (only not with a metal brush), especially the area under the sensor. Check how the wick burns: it should burn with a blue flame, not yellow, and hit the ionization sensor well. Clean the wick if necessary. Check how the wire connects to the sensor. If the contact is bad, there will be a problem. Re-hardening the sensor sometimes helps. If resuscitation of the sensor did not help, it is better to order a new one. And only then you can sin on electronics. Moreover, the sensor is much cheaper than the control unit. By the way, the thrust sensor will not give a command to light the wick, and so your wick lights up, but the electronics do not see it. I installed a gas water heater Ariston and noticed that at temperatures above 37, a whistle similar to an ultrasound periodically appears. Can you please tell me if this is the norm or do you need to apply for a guarantee? Sounds like metal clicks, after turning off the water is also the norm? In the first days of work, I did not seem to notice, now they have appeared. There is no ultrasound, the gas passing through the modulation valve and the burner nozzles can whistle, sometimes such a whistle occurs even in gas stoves at a certain position of the control valve. This does not affect the reliability of the device. Thermal expansion. Many have it. After cooling, it begins to click and poke. Malfunction of the Ariston Fast Evo 11b gas column, the smoke removal protection periodically works, according to the instructions, it should start working again after 15 minutes, in reality you have to wait from 6-8 hours to a day, after which it starts to work itself. Turning off the column, pulling out the batteries and other actions do not help. What could be the problem and, accordingly, what can be done? The smoke exhaust sensor is an ordinary thermostat - "frog", apparently it cools down for a long time. The room should not be more than 30C, otherwise this option is possible. The recovery speed of this sensor depends only on the draft in the chimney and the room temperature. Well, it will not hurt to check the chimney, if it works, it means that the heating of the upper part is decent, which means that there is insufficient draft. The sensor is penny, in which case it is not a problem to replace it, but it is imperative to first put in order the chimney, perhaps it is simply incorrectly designed and even in a completely clean form is not able to give normal draft. Tell me how to connect better to an existing DHW system? There is: a Ferroli double-circuit boiler, one circuit of which is connected for hot water supply, I want to connect the Ariston Marco Polo GI7S gas water heater.Need connection diagrams, please tell me. Disconnect the DHW pipes (supply and output) of the second circuit from the ferrolium and connect to the ariston installed nearby. Of course, not forgetting to connect gas and power to it. Put a separate tap and an insulating sleeve on the gas pipe in front of the HPG, the power outlet must be grounded. That's all. The gas water heater Ariston Marco Polo is in operation. Before she used an electric water heater of 120 liters. Now I will install, and such an idea arose. What if you connect this tank in series after the column, and use it simply without plugging it in, like a hot water accumulator? The advantages are obvious: hot water appears immediately after opening the tap, and in case of malfunctions with the device, there is immediately a backup option. But there are doubts about the normal operation of the column ignition with such a scheme. When the hot water tap is opened, the pressure in the boiler is released slowly, respectively, and at the inlet of the column there will be no such shock pressure drop for its correct switching on. Or not fool yourself, and parallelize the column with a boiler just as a backup option? Who has such a system working? To do this, you still have to plug it into the network. And set the temperature a little lower than on the column, it will maintain it during downtime. Otherwise, during a long idle time, it will cool down and instead of hot water, cold water will first go. And so a similar scheme is used quite often with mechanical columns to smooth out temperature fluctuations. No shock inclusions and other things happen in this circuit. It works the same as without a boiler. Do not remove the boiler safety group. I connected an Ariston Marco Polo Gi7s column. Everything is working. But there is one but. The device is turned on the second time. That is, you turn on the water, the column starts up, clicks and goes into the E1 error. Then he closed the tap, opened it and it starts up. And it happens that everything is the first time. Powered by a balloon. Is it possible that after her work I turn off the gas? This happens with a cold start. It is necessary to clearly calibrate how far to open the tap so that the column is guaranteed to start. Ignition works well only with a certain flow of water, less or more - the result will be E1. After it has worked, it is already easier to ignite. The Gi7S 11L column on natural gas has worked for four years, and recently a strange failure has begun to appear. You open hot water, it turns on as expected (it reaches 45 degrees, as set), it works for a while (I can't catch it, because it seems like there are different intervals), then a click with a squeak, as if turned on. By the sound, the fan (turbine) starts to work harder - the temperature begins to increase rapidly, up to 85 degrees. I did not drive for a long time, I immediately turned it off. The water pressure, all the time, is uniform. There are no surges in electricity. Most likely, the controller burned out. For a more detailed study, you will have to pick up a multimeter. Or directly to the service. Does the turbine on the Ariston gas column play the role of a flow sensor? The flow sensor there is an ordinary spinner, like in a water meter, but with an electronic sensor. The signal from it shows not only the presence of the duct, but also its size. Further, the controller sets the burner power smoothly (or in steps and smoothly within a step) based on the temperature difference between the input water and the set output, taking into account this flow. The turbine (centrifugal fan, volute) pumps air into the combustion chamber under pressure and provides the right amount of air and good mixing with the gas for perfect combustion, by adjusting the speed depending on the current burner power. The scheme of work is almost perfect in my opinion. The water temperature will always be constant and over a wide flow range. But with this turbine. I understand that with different gas flow rates, different amounts of air are required for combustion. And this craving cannot fully provide.But are there such water heaters without a turbine? Or that device (controller) also consumes a lot of electricity and will not work from the battery and the first option will come out? The turbine provides a very large amount of combustion air. Its motor power is about 50 watts. The speed is regulated depending on the burner power and combustion mode. The turbine also provides cooling of the combustion chamber and heat exchanger when it is turned off, continuing to work for about 20 seconds. This prevents the formation of boiling water and reduces the load on the heat exchanger. Plus, such a device has up to 5 solenoid valves and a modulation valve that consumes up to 5 watts. In heaters of high power (above 30 kW), there is also a motorized three-way bypass, an anti-frost system, etc. That is, this is somewhat more than what we are used to understanding under the term gas water heater. The efficiency of such heaters reaches 98%. Personal impressions - when working at medium power, the discharge pipe has a temperature of about 40 C and you can freely hold it with your hand. There is a simplified version - semi-turbine water heaters are an ordinary atmospheric burner, but equipped with a smoke exhauster - a fan that sucks in combustion products and forcibly directs them into the chimney. They are also powered from the mains, but their power control circuits are common, like in atmospheric devices. If the power supply is unstable or frequent shutdowns are possible, you can use a computer UPS, with the right choice, it will be enough for more than one hour of its operation. Malfunction of the Ariston Marco Polo Gi7s gas water heater. Tell me, if anyone had such a problem, when the heater is turned on to the network, the display panel lights up, a beep sounds several times and the display goes out. The column does not work, the display from the button does not turn on. I changed the phases when plugged into the outlet, no results. What could be the reason? Check connectors and wires, controller cannot see control panel or main gas valve. There were similar malfunctions when my transformer burned out and the diodes burned out. One of the voltages supplied to the board is missing. Maybe you really need to move the contacts. The gas water heater Ariston Fast Evo CF 14E is in operation, the same in design, heat exchanger and reducer, but with electronic ignition. It is completely new at all, the presence of wear of the membrane or soot is excluded. It was disconnected for a short time and did not work. In general, I can add the following: I came to the conclusion that she had incorrectly set (initially) gas regulation. Depending on the water flow and pressure, the gas pressure must change the reducer and thereby keep the water temperature constant, right? So in my case, with a small flow of water, it either does not ignite, or it gives almost cold water, and with a high flow, it overheats strongly. In this case, the position of the regulator is the same, I do not change it, but the water temperature is different all the time. For example, with a flow of 7 l / min, you can somehow make the temperature of the order of 40-43 degrees, at a lower temperature, the temperature barely reaches 35 grams, and the handles are at the maximum. At the same time, increasing the flow slightly, say, up to 8-9 l / min. the water begins to overheat strongly, the column makes noise. Of course, the numbers are approximate, but they explain the essence. Who knows if there are any adjustments there? Malfunction of the Ariston Marco Polo gas water heater. I worked for two years, and at one point the E1 error does not flare up. What could be the problem? There is a spark. One click, the flame does not light up and immediately an E1 error. Most likely, the controller is faulty in power supply - change or repair, with the replacement of electrolytes. Anyone who often has errors E1, E2 and the Marco Polo column does not flare up. I installed a GOK mega-reducer 50mbar 4kg / hour. So with him, the device began to flare up very badly, from the 10th time. I had to study the instructions. So there you need a pressure gauge to control the pressure at the outlet of the gas valve, but we will try by eye. 1. Remove the cover and attach it without disconnecting it from the board. 2. On the board we are looking for two buttons and two variable resistors.3. Plug the speaker into an outlet and use the button on the front panel in the default mode - 42C. 4. We open the water, maybe several times, until it ignites. 5. Press button 1, the device will squeak and go into the minimum flame mode. We regulate the minimum stable flame with a resistor 1. The flame should be dense, not coming off the burner. 6. Press button 2, the device will squeak and switch to the maximum flame mode. We regulate the maximum flame with a resistor 2. The flame should be maximum, but not have yellow tongues (look through the windows upwards). 7. Turn it off with the button on the panel, wait for the fan to stop and remove it from the socket. 8. Turn on the column with any temperature setting and check the ignition, everything should be fine. If not normal, go to step 5 and adjust the minimum stable flame again. Faced a malfunction (error E3) on the Ariston Marco Polo M2 11l gas water heater. It occurs immediately after the hot water is turned on. The fan turns on and immediately an error. According to the code, the error means "overheating / working without water". I checked the thermal sensor, it is working properly and, when heated, it opens the network. We checked the water flow sensor, it is not clogged, blew it out, you can hear how it spins inside the blade. Where to look further? Is the transformer and control panel defective? Check the circuit from the sensor to the board. What is the difference between the Gi7s 11L and M2 10L FF columns, in addition to the method of air intake and power. It's just that our price differs by 30%. With the M2 10L FF, there is also a chimney, and on the Gi7s you will have to buy an expensive coaxial one. I understand that due to the design of the rear wall, the M2 10L takes air from the room, and the Gi7s from the chimney from the street. And if you organize the supply of air to the rear wall of M2 from the street (for example, a hole in the wall opposite), then you can get a type of closed combustion chamber. M2 takes air from all cracks. And in winter, this air is cold and gets inside the column, condensation will immediately settle there on the inner parts and nothing good will happen. In addition, the outside of the body of the device will also be covered with condensation. When passing through the coaxial, the outside air is heated by the exhaust gases, plus it does not fall on the inner parts of the column, but is supplied directly to the turbine, which injects it into the burner. Therefore, there is no need to make "holes" anywhere. Either work with an indoor fence or coax. Who knows how to transfer the Ariston Fast 11 column to propane? Converting to propane requires 10 nozzles with a hole diameter of 1.1mm and a gas pressure gauge. You need to: enter the service mode (+ and - simultaneously for 3 seconds). Change the first parameter in section L0 from 6 to 15, set the minimum pressure in front of the burner to 3.9 mbar, maximum - 7.3 mbar, ignition pressure 7.6 mbar. The injectors will most likely fit from the Gi7s propane kit. Malfunction of the Ariston Fast CF 14E gas column. It began to fade. It lights up normally, but after a while it goes out, maybe after 2 seconds, or it can work normally for more than 10 minutes and only then. The last floor. I sinned on pressure, but at night when the pressure of the norms still goes out. It is connected to the chimney with a corrugation (120 in my opinion). What could be the problem? The electronic unit? It lights up and goes out after two seconds. Moreover, if you turn off several times at the beginning of the hour or remove and insert the battery with a button or the battery, then this problem disappears. And it works for about 2-3 weeks, then suddenly everything repeats again. If the battery is not removed or the contacts are not removed, it will not light up for nothing. This is definitely not a traction sensor and not an ionization sensor, I checked it by disconnecting other manifestations in turn. I thought about Mikrik, but somehow it didn't look like it. First, why periodically? It works fine on you - it starts to fade. Okay, let the contact disappear from time to time. But at such a moment I tried to bypass it with a normal wire and tried to provide contact - it's useless. It goes out. And so it seems to be counting several cycles. At such a moment, I also measured the voltage drop across the valve (the solenoid gas valve on the reducer, one which is responsible for the igniter, the other for the main burner), about 0.15 V, and how zero goes out completely. As if the electronic unit cuts off the power. When this failure passes, then all the time the voltage is on it in working order. The principle of operation is as follows. Microswitch includes el. chain, if the column has gone out (for some reason, no matter what), then while email. the circuit will not break, it will never turn on.Possible reason - the dog does not reach the mikrik. The first problem is solved by cutting the tip of the wire onto the ionization electrode, cleaning the electrode itself and cleaning the burner from dust. Literally yesterday I did this, the column did not turn off, although the heat exchanger remained in soot (today they are changing the apparatus).

  • JUNKERS

The Junkers gas water heater began to malfunction. It works for 15-20 minutes and goes out. You turn off and turn on the water, the igniter lights up, and after a few seconds it goes out, and you can do this at least how many times, it does not ignite. A little time passes - it works, and again everything repeats itself. The water pressure is good, the gas pressure too. What could be the reason?

What you need to know before connecting the Ariston gas column

Ariston water heaters are quite economical and have low gas consumption. At the same time, the boiler has a wide range of operational capabilities.

Before you start using the Ariston geyser, you must do the following:

  • make sure that the apartment (house) has good ventilation;
  • check the water pressure - if the pressure mark is below 0.3 atm, then you should take care of additional feeding of the circuit;
  • if a decrease in water pressure is often observed in an apartment, it is necessary to make sure that there is no fluid leakage from the system itself.

At the same time, it is important to know that such identified malfunctions, such as low water pressure, should only be eliminated by a specialist.

Allow only qualified technicians to install and configure the device. Self-connecting the column to the gas pipeline is not only fraught with fines, but can also cause an accident

Modern geysers Ariston are versatile and quite easy to use. To activate them, you just need to press a button. The required temperature on the brand's gas equipment is set using special control buttons - to supply hot water, it is enough to set 36-56 degrees.

It is also important to know that the water heater turns on immediately after opening the hot water tap. As soon as the user closes the tap, the column stops heating water. If the device needs to be completely turned off, then turn the external switch to the maximum and shut off the gas supply.

How to connect a gas water heater to the water supply: basic requirements

If you study the regulations, you can see that gas water heaters can be placed only in a few rooms. These include the kitchen and non-living space. Before the legislation was changed, the bathroom also belonged to this list. Also in the process of choosing a space, you need to focus on its size, it should be from 8m3. The height of the ceilings must be at least 2 m and the walls must be made of fire-fighting material.

Installing a gas water heater on wooden walls is strictly prohibited.

If the walls are made of a material that is non-combustible, then in the place where the column will be located there must be a layer of heat-insulating cardboard.

With regard to hanging, then it must take place according to certain rules. The side panels should be 15 cm away from the wall. The front side should be at a distance of at least 0.5 m from surrounding objects.

In order to connect the device, you need to correctly install the chimney pipe. It must be made exclusively of stainless steel. Aluminum is prohibited. A yellow tap should be located next to the gas water heater, which serves to shut off the incoming gas.

If it is impossible to install a shut-off valve, then the installation of a gas column is impossible.

It remains to mention the pipes for the supply of hot and cold water supply. To conduct cold water, you need to make a separate pipe from the riser. Pipes of the same type lead to the bathroom. For hot supply, it is better to choose a copper pipe, its diameter should be about 15 mm.

How to install

Before installing the "Ariston" column, you should decide on the height at which it will be fixed. This is necessary for safety, especially if the family has young children. Fasteners must be of increased reliability. Using a drill, holes are made in the wall, after which the water heater is screwed in with self-tapping screws.

To connect to gas and water, tees are used that cut into the pipes. Therefore, you will definitely need to perform welding.

After the work is done, you should study how to include the "Ariston" column. Each boiler has its own instructions for use, in which everything is indicated step by step.

Important! However, it should be borne in mind that the initial installation and connection must be carried out by a specialist. Each model has its own characteristics, and this can be very important.

Distinctive abilities

According to reviews of Ariston gas wall-mounted double-circuit boilers, they have 4 distinctive features that are useful for their owners:

  1. All models of this company are equipped with automatic protection systems.
  2. The presence of a water pump, which is necessary for the constant circulation of water through the pipes.
  3. Possibility to choose a model with an expansion tank. With its help, an automatic pressure adjustment will take place inside the heating system.
  4. Ariston equips its equipment with various types of ignition. It can be automatic, which will greatly facilitate the life of the owner of a particular boiler. Otherwise, each time the unit is started, a person will need to press a special button.

It will be interesting for you >> The principle of operation of the Bosch double-circuit boiler

We light the column depending on the type of ignition

Each type of ignition has its own starting features.

Manual ignition

This method is already outdated and is used very rarely in modern speakers.

Such devices are poorly protected from both water pressure drops and fire extinction. It is currently not recommended to install such devices at home.

How to light a column with manual ignition:

  • Unscrew the valve on the tap supplying water to the inside of the column.
  • Set fire to the wick using a match or lighter.
  • Open the valve on the tap supplying gas to the column.
  • Sometimes, to ignite the burner, you need to wait a little until air comes out of its channel.

To speed up the process, first open and then close the hot water tap several times.

Piezo ignition

This option for igniting the column is the most modern and widespread. It is extremely simple to use, but it has such a drawback as increased gas consumption. While the column is not working, the wick is still smoldering inside it, therefore the gas, albeit in small quantities, is burned constantly.

How to light a column with piezo ignition:

  • To start, you need to press the key, which will affect the piezoelectric element. This will provide a spark to ignite the pilot burner wick.
  • Open the valve supplying gas to the device.

Automatic ignition

This is a more modern and profitable option for igniting gas water heaters. It is also called electric, since in its base the transmission of an electric spark. Its occurrence is provided either by batteries or by a hydraulic turbine.

Combustion will be controlled by various sensors, and as soon as the user turns off the hot water tap, the ignition wick will go out.

How to light a column with electric ignition:

  • Make sure that the column is supplied with gas and cool water.
  • Open the hot water tap.

How to repair a water heater?

The duration of the operation of the gas water heaters is affected by the quality of the water. In case of minor malfunctions, you can cope with the repair on your own. Classic malfunctions of gas-fired water heaters:

  • The device does not turn on or turns off after a short time - "symptoms" indicating that scale has accumulated in the heat exchanger. It needs to be cleaned with a special product.
  • You cannot get hot water at the outlet - most likely the radiator is leaking. Another option is incorrect adjustment of the water or gas supply.
  • The burner does not ignite. Check the draft - the chimney may be clogged.

Specifying the wiring

Mandatory precautions

Any purchased equipment is accompanied by instructions for the correct operation of the gas water heater. The principle of operation of most of them is identical to that indicated above, but here the mandatory adherence to safety precautions should be highlighted.

  1. It is required to carry out preventive cleaning of the gas water heater in order to avoid disrupting the efficiency of its operation (how to do this can be read in the document - instructions that goes to the gas water heater).
  2. It is important to check the condition of the chimney ducts - this will help to avoid clogging.
  3. If the device fails, you should immediately contact the gas service. Unauthorized attempts to fix the problem are prohibited.

In more detail, the inclusion of the unit is shown in the video:

It is enough to understand once how to light the device to provide comfortable and instant heating of running water. And then you can simply enjoy the operation of this convenient heater.

Useful Tips

  • In practice, there are frequent cases of the appearance of a "floating" error 108 of the Ariston boiler.
    Contour diagnostics and equipment does not show leaks, but the pressure in the system is slowly decreasing. The user has to periodically recharge it. The reason is in the expansion tank. Adjusting the air in his chamber to normal eliminates the error.
  • Ariston boilers, like all models of imported heating units, sensitive to supply voltage... Jumps, deviations from the rating in excess of the permissible value cause errors and equipment shutdown. This problem is completely leveled connecting Ariston to the network via a UPS... For objects located in rural areas, more than advisable. Boiler power supplies consist of a stabilizer, a battery group and an internal charger. No problems with industrial voltage or a backup power generator will affect the operation of the heating equipment.

If, according to the recommendations given in the article, you cannot identify the cause of error 108 of the Ariston boiler yourself, you need to contact the service center. The control board may be defective. But its testing, repairs are not done on site - only replacement.

Traction check

Since gas water heaters have an open combustion chamber, special attention is paid to the draft to prevent carbon monoxide poisoning or create a hazardous emergency. For this, it is important to correctly install the chimney and regularly check the presence and quality of the draft.

Modern models of gas water heaters are equipped with sensors that, in the absence or low traction indicators, simply will not allow the equipment to start. But to turn on the old gas water heater, you will probably have to make sure that there is traction, since such sensors have not yet been provided in it.

To correctly measure the presence of air flow, special devices must be used. But you can do this without having special tools available:

  1. At the point where the hood enters the ventilation shaft, it is necessary to remove a section of the exhaust pipe. The paper cut into strips is fixed in place of the hole. And on their movement they check the quality of traction.
  2. A lighted match is placed in the viewing window of the column. If the flame deflects, this indicates the presence of an air flow.

If the gas equipment is already working, but there is no draft, then it is recommended to open the window for air intake.

Geyser FAST EVO C / B device

We invite you to look under the "hood" of the water heater and get acquainted with the device. The first thing I want to draw your attention to is that the FAST EVO geyser is equipped with a modern automatic ignition, that is, it does not have a constantly burning igniter and, as it was recently called, a wick. Thus, gas savings, albeit not large, are realized. In addition, the emission of harmful substances is limited and the environment is protected. Of course, you may be skeptical about this, one wick will not accumulate much, but if you take into account the thousands of burning wicks all over the country?

FAST EVO appliances have an open-chamber version. The development of such models involves operation with chimneys that provide natural draft. Thus, the air for the combustion process is used directly from that which is in the room, without the injection of oxygen from the street. The venting device is made of 0.8 mm thick stainless steel sheet.Outside diameter of the neck is 125 mm.

Ariston FAST EVO thrust sensor

Deflectors and deflectors in the Fast Evo model are made with stiffening ribs, which are necessary to give the structure a more durable look. In addition, the ribs well block extraneous clicks when the product cools. On the gas outlet there is a draft sensor that monitors the temperature. In the event of reverse thrust, the sensor blocks the operation of the device. The draft sensor always turns off the device if it detects an abnormal removal of combustion products.

The protective device controls the smoke exhaust system, detecting a malfunction, opens the contact group and turns off the water heater. The blocking of the device is temporary. After 12 minutes, the FAST EVO gas water heater will be restarted in automatic mode. If the sensor detects that the smoke exhaust system is in good condition and the problem has been successfully eliminated, the device is set to operating mode, otherwise the device will not start.

FAST EVO construction diagram

design diagram
The heat exchanger is made of copper alloy, 0.5 mm thick, without a protective layer. The coil tube size is 13 mm in diameter. The heater tubes are made in an oval shape, so the manufacturer has increased the contact area with the heat exchanger, the increased heat exchange surface contributes to an increase in the efficiency of the gas column as a whole. Heat exchangers of 11 and 14 series differ only in width, depth and height are the same. In general, the Ariston fast evo 11b geyser receives favorable reviews from homeowners, where low consumption is considered sufficient.

Among the shortcomings, we would note, the thin material of the open combustion chamber and the extra connection point of the coil. You can see the soldering on the top right in the photo, although this could have been avoided by lengthening the tube and subjecting it to a simple bend. The advantage can be attributed to the modern design of the heater, as we noted - an oval-shaped tube.

The main burner is made of 0.8 mm thick stainless steel sheets. The burner consists of a pair of half-sections, connected in one piece. The absence of a nozzle responsible for cutting the flame is compensated by the use of a special groove. The nozzle that injects gas into the burner section is located on the manifold. The connection of the collector to the gas supply line is efficiently made. Sealing is carried out on a plane, pressed by a pair of bolts. It is not possible to assemble such a connection in the wrong order. This significantly reduces possible gas leaks.

The ignition group is securely attached to the manifold, firmly and soundly. The group is supplied by the Italian company SIT. The group is installed on both versions of FAST EVO C and on FAST EVO B. The water unit is also installed the same on both models. The only difference is in the diameter of the venturi, for 11 and 14 liter versions. The body of the unit is made of plastic with metal inserts to strengthen the structure.

Technical characteristics of heaters Ariston

The main characteristics of flowing gas water heaters "Ariston" are:

  • default backdraft sensors;
  • highly functional overheating protection system (automatic);
  • system gas control;
  • temperature sensors with high sensitivity.

These characteristics give the owner the opportunity not to worry about safety even if the device has been turned off during a long absence. If a dangerous situation arises, the protective system will be triggered automatically.

The main difficulty in using the column is the correct initial setting. Each unit has its own preset parameters, which the manufacturer compiles from the average characteristics. Individual customization is done independently. To do this, you should carefully study the instructions.

Note! If you have any difficulties, you can contact a specialist. There are many certified service centers for Ariston equipment.

Lineup Ariston

The Ariston brand produces many models of water heaters. Positive customer reviews clearly prove that this brand is number one in the market for the production of gas appliances. The Ariston Fast Evo is the most popular of the entire heater line. The model is produced in two types, differing in productivity (11 and 14 liters per minute). This is a turbocharged automatic car with electric ignition. Only two batteries are needed to operate the device. In addition, the model has a built-in flame modulation system. Such a system allows maintaining temperature constancy.

The main advantages of Ariston Fast Evo include:

  • the ability to work at two points of water intake;
  • ignition occurs at minimum pressure indicators;
  • optimum outlet temperature.

Another popular model is part of the Marco Polo series - the Gi7S with a closed combustion chamber. The device is equipped with an instantaneous heater and does not have a chimney. An important feature of the device is that the pipe is taken out into the street, therefore, the combustion products do not remain in the room, but go out into the street. Gi7S is the most powerful unit, therefore it is very energy intensive. Of the more budgetary models, the Ariston CA 11P is in special demand. The unit has a classic design and is easy to operate. It keeps the set parameters stably and does not knock out the settings.

In addition, the water heater heats up gradually without generating any noise.

Basic rules of operation

There are various types of gas water heaters. In some houses, you can still find gas water heaters from Soviet manufacturers, which are already obsolete and require special knowledge during operation. As a rule, such units are capricious when turned on. These geysers are turned on by manual ignition, and this process is quite complicated and responsible. Modern gas water heaters are fully automated, and no special skills are required to turn them on. Now let's talk about everything in order.
