Store lithium batteries in a dry place, removed from the equipment, with a charge level of about 40%. This will help prevent a critical voltage drop during self-discharge. If the voltage drops below 2.5 V per cell, subsequent storage of the battery for 3 months or longer will lead to an irreparable drop in capacity. Corrosion of the elements can also occur. When batteries are stored for more than 7 days with a voltage of up to 2 V per cell, a critical change in their chemical structure occurs. These batteries must be recycled.
