The choice of an additional pump for the VAZ 2110

Required:
- Gazelle pump (Gazelle pump price 500-1000r)
- Relay (Take a relay with normally open contacts (2105,2108-starter, ignition relay). Jumper contacts 30 and 86)
- Reinforced hose piece
- Antifreeze (2 liters)
- Clamps ("norm" average 5 pieces)

Before starting work, you need to wait a little so that the antifreeze in the car cools down. We drain the antifreeze from the block into a clean container (then pour it back) or into a dirty one to fill in a new antifreeze.
We unscrew the four upper self-tapping screws of the pump (where the impeller stands) and coat the existing rubber gasket with sealant. When assembling the pump, instead of self-tapping screws, we put long thin bolts with nuts (advice was given by gazelists).

- Disconnect the fluid supply hose to the heater from the outlet pipe of the block head and connect it to the horizontal pipe of the electric pump (there is enough length).
- Connect a hose connected to the vertical branch pipe of the electric pump, connected from two S-shaped hoses 2108 (located in the cabin between the tap and the heater radiator), or another suitable one. Connect the other end to the block head, in place of the previously removed standard one. We stretch all the clamps. Do not forget to tighten the drain plug in the block.
Is it necessary, and in what cases
Many owners of suburban real estate, and especially two-story houses, are interested in installing an additional circulation pump in the heating system. They come to this conclusion after uneven heating of the radiators in the premises, provided that the boiler has sufficient power. If the temperature difference between the boiler and the coolant in the pipelines exceeds 20 degrees, then it will be necessary to remove air locks or set the existing pump at an increased speed.
Installation of additional pumping equipment is necessary in the following cases:
- When adding an additional circuit to the heating system, and especially when the length of the pipes exceeds 80 meters;
- For uniform movement of the coolant in pipelines.
An additional pump in the heating system may not be needed if it is balanced using balancing and adjusting valves, so before purchasing additional equipment, bleed the air from the batteries and add water to the system. If everything works fine, then there is no point in installing an additional pump.
